This is a manual that not only describes the pertinent issues of post-modern youth but also prescribes
the way out of the challenges they face. It is referred to as a manual because it tackles many issues
that preoccupy the youth; from beauty and looks, class mean score vis avis post-school success to
why Africa is poor. Other contemporary issues like sexuality, creating an all-rounded individual and so
on are tackled with simple clarity. We are aware that the internet is replete with ideas but lacks
absolutes thereby fostering a ‘neutral value’ society. A neutral value society is no society at all
because it stands for nothing. There must be absolutes in life and the youth need to be aware of this
fact. Myths, mis-information, dis-information and mal-information have been demystified, in this
manual, to foster absolutes.
On money matters, our parents told us to go to school to become rich in life. Indeed money came but
scores of the youth have become poor again due to lack of fundamental training in money
management. The same is true with rich families that fail to inculcate financial discipline to their
children, coupled with re-inforced positive virtues for character, only for these children to end up
poor after mismanaging the wealth and fortunes bequeathed to them by their parents.
No amount of money is too little to start something in order to multiply it. When it comes to wastage,
any amount of money can get depleted to zero. Respect money!
Again, failing in school does not mean failing in making money, post-school.
